Welcome to TinkerHost! We hope you enjoy the services you purchase from us, but we offer refunds for all our products if you are not completely satisfied. Each of our services has a different policy, please scroll down to find the TinkerHost services that offer return policies. Please note that any services not listed are ineligible for return.

I. Restrictions

If any of the following are true for you or your account, you may be ineligible for a refund. TinkerHost reserves the right to refuse refunds for any of the below reasons:

  • TinkerHost has evidence to believe that you have violated our Terms of Service at any time (Including but not limited to having more then 1 active TinkerHost Profile, or more then 3 active TinkerHost Free Hosting Accounts)
  • You have excessive open and completed refunds requests

Additionally, TinkerHost limits all of our users to one domain cancellation per calendar year. Please see the “TinkerHost Domains” section below for exceptions and additional policies for refunds on the TinkerHost Domains platform.

II. Refund Methods and Fees

TinkerHost is proud to offer multiple payment methods to our customers. Depending on the payment method you used to complete your order, your refund method may vary.

Account Funds Payment

TinkerHost offers a 100% refund to your accounts funds balance for all eligible refunds.

Card Payment

TinkerHost charges a $0.50 USD service fee for all card refunds (Including Apple and Google Pay transactions). Refunds can be sent to your account funds, or can be issued by our payment provider Stripe to your original payment method. If you request a refund back to your card and Stripe cannot complete the refund, TinkerHost will provide a 100% refund to your account funds.

Crypto Payment

TinkerHost offers a 100% refund to your accounts funds balance for all eligible refunds. Alternatively, TinkerHost can refund coins to your crypto wallet for a fee of $0.50 USD plus the crypto transaction fee. Crypto refunds will always be available in BTC and LTC, additional coins may be available upon request. Refunds made to crypto wallets will be made at current market value in USD (For example, if TH is a cryptocurrency and you order a TinkerHost service for 1TH valued at $1 USD, and 1TH is valued at $2 USD at the time of refund, 0.5TH will be issued to your crypto wallet).

III. TinkerHost Free Hosting

TinkerHost Free Hosting is defined as TinkerHost Hosting Accounts with a username identifier starting with “thsi”.

TinkerHost free hosting plans can be cancelled for any reason on the account manager screen. Refunds and returns are unavailable for this product as no costs are associated with it.

IV. TinkerHost Pro Hosting

TinkerHost Pro Hosting is defined as TinkerHost Hosting Accounts with a username identifier starting with “pro”.

TinkerHost Pro Hosting accounts offer a 7-day money back guarantee. Refunds cannot be issued if your account has been suspended for abuse. To request a refund for your Pro subscription, follow the steps below:

  1. Cancel the subscription in the TinkerHost subscription manager. You can access the subscription manager by logging into your TinkerHost account and selecting “Subscriptions” in the sidebar.
  2. Select the TinkerHost Pro subscription you wish to receive a refund for and select “Cancel Subscription”.
  3. Send us an email at hello[@]tinkerhost.net with the subject line “TinkerHost Pro Refund Request” to give your message priority status. Be sure to mention the username (Starting with “pro”) that you wish to receive a refund for.

V. TinkerMail

TinkerMail plans offer a 7-day money back guarantee. Refunds can only be issued if less than 50 email messages have been sent from your account. To request a refund for your Mail subscription, follow the steps below:

  1. Cancel the subscription in the TinkerHost subscription manager. You can access the subscription manager by logging into your TinkerHost account and selecting “Subscriptions” in the sidebar.
  2. Select the TinkerMail subscription you wish to receive a refund for and select “Cancel Subscription”.
  3. Send us an email at hello[@]tinkerhost.net with the subject line “TinkerMail Refund Request” to give your message priority status. Be sure to mention the username (Starting with “mail”) that you wish to receive a refund for.

VI. TinkerHost Domains

TinkerHost Domains offers domain registration, renewal, and transfers through NameSilo, an ICANN accredited registrar. The refund policies below are an extension of NameSilo’s Terms of Service and no exceptions are available for any reason. All TinkerHost users are limited to one (1) registration/renewal domain refund request per calendar year and one (1) transfer cancellation request per calendar year.

To request a refund on a domain order, use the web form located in the domain manager.

TinkerHost Domain Registrations and Renewals

Refund requests for domain registrations and renewals must be made within 36 hours of submitting the order, no exceptions. Upon requesting a refund, you immediately surrender your domain name to TinkerHost without possibility for transfer or renewal.

TinkerHost Domain Transfers

Transfer requests for domain registrations can be canceled within thirty (30) days as long as the transfer has not completed. Domain transfers that have already been completed (Domains that have been transferred to TinkerHost and are now active on your account) cannot be refunded for any reason.

VII. TinkerHost Account Funds Balance

To request a refund for your account funds balance, contact us at hello@tinkerhost.net with the email address associated with your TinkerHost account. Be sure to let us know what type of refund you would like, and your preferred refund method! TinkerHost offers the following refund options for your account funds:

Single Transaction Refund

TinkerHost offers a 7 day refund period for individual funding transactions. To be eligible for a refund, your account must be funded with credit card or crypto within the last 7 days. Partial refunds are not available. No additional fees apply for single transaction refunds within 7 days other than those listed in the “Fees” section above. For a refund after 7 days, see “Entire Balance Refund” below.

Entire Balance Refund

TinkerHost offers a refund for your entire account balance at any time for a one-time fee of $5.00 USD for accounts with an account balance over $6.00 USD. Account Funds can only be refunded in their entirety using this option, however you can always add additional funds later.

Balance refunds can always be made via crypto (For an additional fee matching the crypto network transaction fee), and can be refunded to your card if the current balance is not greater than the card-funded amount. For example, if you funded your account two times with $15 each ($30 balance), a card refund can be completed as the total account balance is not greater than the card-funded balance (Your refund will be $25, $30 - $5 fee). Alternatively, if your account was funded $15 with credit card and $15 with crypto, a card refund ($10 refund; $15 - $5 fee) and a crypto refund ($15 - crypto network transaction fee) will be made.
